Job Description: The Crop Protection Sales Representative will manage the implementation of MGK’s Botanical Crop portfolio sales and marketing strategy at the territory level in Central CA.
The position requires the skill set to aggressively sell MGK Crop products in the marketplace by working directly with Large Growers, PCA’s, Distributors, Retailers, and Strategic Market Influencers (SMI’s) with a primary focus in the Organic / Sustainable crop protection market. The Sales Rep will conduct sales calls on targeted farmers/growers and others who influence their choice of product use such as consultants and highly influential advisors and consultants within their assigned territory. This individual will be a skilled and knowledgeable resource providing in-field technical support, education, and consulting as part of a holistic portfolio sales approach.
Duties, Qualifications, & Requirements:
*Identify / target geographies, crops, customers or businesses to work with throughout the territory that will achieve sales budget
*Create and execute sales growth action plans to include situation, objective and tactics designed to deliver planned sales growth for the primary MGK Crop products within their assigned area
*Utilization of Salesforce to Manage and track territory strategy
*Manage the MGK sales process with territory accounts by researching future clients, gaining access to key decision makers, and increasing the use of MGK Products.
*Work in collaboration with MGK Botanical business team (Marketing, R&D, Technical services) to develop “expert” relationships, within assigned territory/geography, with key Growers, PCA’s, Consultants and other Centers of Influence
*Provide technical services, and advice on the use, properties, and modifications of products.
*Service accounts by diagnosing and providing guidance to customers
*Determine need for new products or improvements to existing products
*Evaluate market and industry trends, competitors, sales programs and territory coverage.
*Manage expenses within the assigned budget
*Maintain and manage the assigned MGK company assets
*Achieve sales goals and objectives
*Actively participate in all MGK sales training / educational programs
*Practicing excellent time management and planning skills is required to maximize customer calls and minimize travel time. Expect 30-70% overnight travel in this position (dependent upon candidate location)

Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and a PCA License
*5+ years of previous outside sales experience in crop protection
*Preferred experience in permanent crop (stone fruit, tree nuts, grapes, and citrus)
*Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
